i read an article on NPR (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=18768430&ft=1&f=1) about six word memoirs.
i like that. i’ve written quite a few. Here’s some of ‘em:
-i don’t know what to do.
-i am afraid of getting old.
-People hurt me. i hurt them.
-i was born crying; still am.
-Dear God, how i’ve missed you!
-Love is life. i live quietly.
-Not Black. Not White. What then?
-i think my uterus hates me.
-i’m a wife, mother, child- invisble.
-The world makes my stomach hurt.

C ~ I love your concept of the six word memoir! When I can think about anything else than my dissertation, I will write mine. Yours are profound. junemoon
i know that you are hard at work on very good things so i especially appreciate you stopping by and commenting.
i just want to mention that this idea of a six worded memoir is not mine, darn it- cus it’s a great idea and i wish i’d've thought of it! but i came across it on NPR.
i look forward to what you’ll bring. Something like:
I search minds for their hearts.

Wow, C, you do just that for me with your posts ~ you encourage me to search my mind and in doing so, help me find pieces of my heart. junemoon
I really like this concept of 6 word memoirs, but I can’t think of one for myself. I really enjoyed reading the ones excerpted on NPR’s article that you cited and your originals. I’m going to think about it and get back to you.
i look forward to it.
Some of the examples listed in the article really blew me away.

[...] concept and been struck with the inability to think of one for myself. I read about the concept on christine’s blog and told her how hard I thought it was going to be, and then Lilli went and tagged me! [...]
i’ve never seen this version of hemingway’s 6 word story. one day, after just enough tequila, i’ll give it a shot.
i’m sure you will do well with it.
i’m not sure if i’ve told you enough (seems we’d spent so much time tying to convince me of my talent, & that’s sad) but you have your own fluency.
hey c, check this out at smith magazine.

i remember seeing it on the NPR website.
i need to work on mine and come up with one.
i’ve seen it all over wordpress- the six word memoir.
i love it.
People rock it.
i wish Smith would’ve stumbled upon mine- even though i posted a bunch instead of just one.
Thanks for the link.

Yours are some of the best out there, c. And yours were published a day before Book Babie started the meme. So, you can just tell SMITH that you were FIRST.
Aw, thanks, Windmills.

Thank you, Red.
