WRITERS’ CORNER

 THEME FRIDAYS

My writerly friends- Writer Chick, J and i have come to together as writers and fabulous people for a collaborative effort aptly named: Writer’s Corner: Theme Fridays.  Each week, we will post our takes and perspectives on various subjects.

Here, Writer Chick offers you a seat with her at the Park Bench.

On her Park Bench, J relaxes in the shade with her thoughts.

Please be sure to visit all of us.  There’s room for everyone on the…

 park bench

bed
sanctuary
shaded rest

arms carved
i <3 you
fuck you

Westside 4 ever

secret lovers
rest your arms in my arms
clandestine meetings

and other things like sighs

body warped with rain
coffee spilt written poems
gum stuck on the backs of my thighs

sweat and promises too

climb into my lap
I’ll hold you while the sun melts
pink onto the world

I am a park bench

Love the poem.
Especially this line:

“climb into my lap
I’ll hold you while the sun melts pink onto the world”

Very visual! Well done!

I’m headed over to their sites now to poke around.

Thank you, Trisha.
Enjoy Jess and Annie. They’ve each put up lovely work.

*sigh* How wonderful! The poem was great . . such imagery!
I’ll be sure to visit Annie and J to read their pieces.

Annie and Jess wrote beautiful pieces.
i think it’s funny that we each personified the bench.
Our minds are linked!

Thank you, Red.
i appreciate you.

I’ll tell you, the next time I sit my ass on a park bench I’ll probably start talking to it and expecting an answer. Great job c.

Thank you, Joan.
i’m glad you enjoyed it as we will be doing this each Friday.

Beautiful poem. The carvings you listed were so typical and perfect. I like that you changed the font. And I also like the scrapbook page graphic at the top.

The Graphic is courtesy of J from Not A Housewife.
She did an excellent job, didn’t she!

Thank you for liking it.
i especially like the changed font.
It’s always someplace4ever. i see it everywhere.
