THEME FRIDAYS
Sun slanting gold through aged windows or wide-palmed leaves. Dew shining in the elbow of a blade of grass- springborn and strong. Naked winter trees, a garden of daffodils, the warmth of woven fingers,
his and mine-
An autumn breeze crisp as an apple, tart as a pear, invisible except through the way it moves others, feels on the skin- hot, warm cool, cold- combing through hair, grass, trees, thoughts, and sifting. The slant of rain, fire, clouds voluminous and voluptuous parting to reveal the pearl glow of a full moon, a hot fudge sundae, balloons or kites rising, drifting against a pale summer sky, a night silent but for the brittle sizzle of stars…
Which brings me back to the start. Stars. Stars in a clear night sky enchant some. For me though…
For me the idea of being enchanted is what i find enchanted. Feelings of awe, of melted spirit, of disarmament, of surrender to something greater. The enchantedness, not always light or good- even enchantment under greed, of lust, of seeing something so wonderful one is moved to steal. i study this, am enchanted by those enchanted by such, enchanted with my enchanment, my hunger to know why, how, when. It is the why of things- why are stars so enchanting? Why are wicked men and women so mesmerizing to those deemed “good”? Why does shine cast a spell over us? Why do we give ourselves over so freely? Why the moon? Why the words, lips, movement? Goodness, quietness, humility. A uniform, the leather jacket, hardworked hands. Eyes. Taste. Sight?- which enchants me.
Because being enchanted is filled with wonder and wonder is the closest our spirits succumb to innocence.

Oh Chica,
You give me goosebumps. Your prose is so eloquent, so true. We are enchanted with enchantedness, because it enchants us. We all love to feel the magic that our souls are capable of – and this says it so very well. I love us.
Love
Annie
