i’ve changed this page quite a few times, and for that i am sorry. But, as evidenced by the fact i’ve changed this page quite a few times, i am fickle.
So this time, i will simply list some random information you may or may not find pertinent to reading all the elbows.
-i can’t snap my fingers.
-i’m fond of using this & when putting my husband&me togetherly.
-i’ve two feet. Both’re ugly.
-i employ unorthodox contractions. (See above.)
-i’ve never had a driver’s license so i don’t drive.
-”A stitch in time saves nine.”
-i am good at decorating cakes.
-Our two daughters are wonderful people.
-Secrets don’t make friends.
-i try not to use commas. i’m not very successful in this endeavor.
-i plan on being buried in jeans and a t-shirt.
-i’m short.
-Just because you’re colorblind doesn’t mean you can’t see black and white.
-i am lactose intolerant.
-i write fiction. Mostly.
-i begin sentences with and a lot. And because. But too.
-i make my OCD work for me.
-i don’t capitalize my first name for a reason. And when referring to myself- use little ‘i’.
-i love hyphens and semicolons; semicolons are under utilized.
-i detest eating chicken on the bone.
So, that’s all for now. Thanks for stopping by.

Thank goodness for thriftstores! I don’t know where I’d get books if it wasn’t for them, and simply not reading isn’t an option.
I’m very skilled at laughing, too. I could kill any joke in a joke book, but I’ll laugh at next to nothing.

i love, absolutely love, getting good books for cheap. Books are a joy to me.
Thanks for taking the time to read and comment. i appreciate it.
Christine - everything you have…we all want. You’re writing makes you a *capital C* Christine in my book! Hey - I knew you were a smoker from your comment on my starbucks post!
And I love (my wife hates) mixing and matching my coffee cups. And I buy all of my reading classics from a used store myself! You and I, we are cut from the same cloth
peace,
i think writers are. Cut from the same cloth, i mean- which is hand woven and strangely patterned. Quirky.
My husband brings home odd cups. Sometimes i’ll notice a groovy cup at the thriftstore (Wow! It just hit me how thrifty we are!) and buy it. i like unique.
Of course, i do have a set of coffee cups, but i rarely use them. They hold a mere six ounces of coffee. i am a coffee drinker, man and six ounces is but a swallow for me.
Thank you for reading and your kind comments.
Write on!

Me too. Bailey’s on ice, I mean. Yum. And sentence fragments. And starting sentences with “and”.
And I can’t stop reading your site. I’m not an intense person, not anymore. Your intensity, and your ability to craft that intensity through words, is amazing. It pulls, so I’ll be back. A lot.

i look forward to your visits and thoughts. i’ll also be visiting your site. i like the way you tell a story.
Thank you.

Found you through WriterChick and not letting you go! Your writing is delicious
Welcome! And thank you. i am honored.

I wholeheartedly agree…about the writers being quirky thing…and that the world should have more coffee, coffee, coffee! Your words are beautiful to me in their rawness and honesty. Thanks for sharing that with the rest of us. May you have peace…and coffee.
Thank you for visiting my page, Angie. And for your kind words.

Well, it took me a while to hunt you down. It was well worth it. I’m enjoying “All the Elbows” and your unique view of things. At least now I can thank you for the lovely comment you left on my blog on “Fantasy on the Half Shell.” I’ll be returning. Do you mind if I provide my readers a link to your blog?
i am happy that you came by. i like your work and was more than happy to comment on your lovely poem. In fact, you commented on something of mine before but could not find you. i finally did and have since subscribed to your page.
i would be honored if you shared my page with your readers. And i’ll gladly do the same for you.
~christine
I never saw this page - don’t know how I missed it. You are so good at being you, naming you, describing you. I wish I had that particular talent. Sentence fragments, starting sentences with And, you betcha. The words are the latitude and longitude of the map of the story. Navigate your own route, the readers will love you for it and it will be you.

I scrolled through her filters
By category
Making sense of her
Literary pull.
The numerical unveiling
revealed that
Ten were pain
Eleven were coping and
Twenty Five were life.
Fifteen were thoughts and
Twelve were the world
And
Writing was thirty one.
Frankl says that two and two are four
Even if a crazy person says so,
And I say
If you do the math
You’ll see why she’s my
Favorite Poet Breathing.
Writer Chick,
if there’s one thing i ponder, it’s me, so writing me is like breathing.
i need to broaden my horizons, but in the meantime, it’s nice to know there’s interest.
clancyjane,
i never paid attention to the numbers. That’s interesting, actually.
i am shy that i am your favorite.
And, of course, honored.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
“i spell my name with a lowercase c for a reason, that reason being i am not a proper person, place or thing.”
I don’t agree - I think you are real proper. Proper enough to deserve a capital letter at the very least. Keep up the writing, the World needs fewer mind-numbed robots addicted to crass commercial consumerism and more creative artists making valuable contributions to the societal/cultural slipstream.
i wanna say thanks, but i can’t tell if you’re being facetious or not.
i am naive.
No, I was not being facetious, I meant it. This line grabbed me especially:
“Mine are not like those. Mine are clunky, bulky and uncomfortable- stiff and only fit for the scar of knowing as much.”
I dunno why that line struck me, but it did. I know I talk a lot of jack in this place which gives you right to question my sincerity, but I respect you and what you have to say here.
Well, shucks.
Thank you.
LOL, I always think JP is being facetious too.
You need to delete the “cigarette smoking” description of yourself. I heard that you quit.
Hey C,
Dig, I want you to check out one of my favorite Siouxsie and the Banshees songs. The lyrics reminded me of something you might write. Since the title shares your namesake, I thought you might like it.
“She tries not to shatter, kaleidoscope style personality changes behind her red smile
Every new problem brings a stranger inside helplessly forcing one more
new disguise
Christine-the strawberry girl
Christine-banana split lady
Singing sweet savages lost in our world this big-eyed girl sees her faces
unfurl
now she’s in purple, now she’s the turtle
Disintegrating
Christine-the strawberry girl
Christine-banana split lady
22 faces…disintegrating.
Christine”
The video is early 80’s Brit New wave. I think the song is based on the story of “Sybil” or “Eve”. I am not saying you have multiple personalities or anything. If you like that one check out “Hong Kong Garden”, it is pretty flippin’ sweet too.

i love Siouxsie!
One of my sisters just saw her perform a couple of weeks ago.
And ‘Christine’ is one of my favorite songs, of course.

It’s funny, i’ve see you at WrierChick’s blog a million times.
Anyway, i’m glad i found you.
Or actually, followed you back to your page.

You write the way I wish I could write. ” No” to “i write crap.” You write crystal clear and I hear your voice in there.
I’m coming back…often!
Well, thank you.
i am honored to’ve trapped you in my web of self-loathing bwah!ha!ha!ha!

I love your contractions - “Both’re”
